Go and Do Likewise
The core value “Go and Do Likewise” is a call to action based on the teachings of Jesus in the Bible. It references the parable of the Good Samaritan found in Luke 10 in which a man is robbed, beaten, and left half-dead on the side of the road. Several individuals pass by without offering help, but a Samaritan, considered an outsider and despised by the Jews, stops to care for the wounded man, showing compassion and selflessness.
To “go and do likewise” means to imitate the actions of the Good Samaritan. It encourages individuals to actively engage in acts of love, kindness, and compassion towards others, especially those who are in need or marginalized. It emphasizes the importance of not only having good intentions but also taking tangible steps to help and serve others.
By embracing this core value, Kingdom Marketing promotes a culture of selfless action and encourages its members to go beyond mere words or beliefs, actively seeking opportunities to make a positive difference in the lives of others. It is a reminder to live out the teachings of Jesus by loving and serving others in practical ways.
We Are Not Grain Storers
In the Parable of the Rich Fool (Luke 12), a rich man plans to tear down his old barns and build bigger ones to store his abundant harvest, thinking that he can then relax and enjoy a life of luxury. However, God calls him a fool because his focus is solely on his earthly possessions, without considering the brevity of life or the importance of being rich towards God.
“We are not grain storers” reflects the lesson from this parable. It means that Kingdom Marketing does not prioritize the accumulation of wealth for selfish purposes or personal comfort. Instead, the company recognizes the temporary nature of worldly possessions and emphasizes the importance of using resources to serve God and others, rather than hoarding them for personal gain. The core value encourages a mindset of generosity, stewardship, and a focus on eternal values over material wealth.
